I personally just encourage people to switch to KDE.

This "users are idiots, and are confused by functionality" mentality of
Gnome is a disease. If you think your users are idiots, only idiots will
use it. I don't use Gnome, because in striving to be simple, it has long
since reached the point where it simply doesn't do what I need it to do.

Please, just tell people to use KDE.

The following are the instruction to install this driver in
opensuse GNU/Linux distribution:

1. You must download the ATI installer from
   ATI website.
2. The following packages are required to install the drivers:
   kernel-sources, gcc (use YAST to install them)
3. To generate the RPM for SuSE you must type (as root):
   root@localhost #./ati-driver-installer-8.20.8-i386.run --buildpkg SuSE/SUSE100-IA32
   Creating directory fglrx-install
   Verifying archive integrity... All good.
   Uncompressing ATI Proprietary Linux Driver-8.20.8..................
